Even though the pandemic has its roots in the Asian continent, most countries managed to contain the spread. However, very few are currently open for travel. Read more to find out the list of Asian countries that plan to open up their borders for international tourism.

Bangladesh
Status
The country is opening up borders for travelers coming from Qatar and the United Kingdom with conditions.
Conditions
All incoming visitors must provide a negative COVID-19 test result. In addition, UK passengers are subject to a 14-day quarantine and must provide a Health Declaration and a Passenger Locator Form.
Cambodia
Status
Cambodia has now opened up its borders for travelers coming from France, Germany, Iran, Italy, Spain, and the United States.
Conditions
All passengers must have a visa, provide a negative PCR certificate issued within the past 72 hours, and proof that they are insured for at least $50.000 before they land. Moreover, travelers must also make a US$3.000 deposit for testing and one night in a quarantine center. The remaining amount will be reimbursed. Furthermore, visitors are subject to health screening and a 14-day quarantine.

Indonesia
Status
Out of the Indonesian Archipelago, only Bali plans to reopen to international tourists on September 11th, 2020.
Japan
Status
Japan plans to only open up its borders to visitors who have not been in any of the COVID-19 affected countries.

Lebanon
Status
The airport in Beirut plans to open for international traffic on July 1st, 2020.
Conditions
All visitors are subject to testing and quarantine, in case the test is positive.
South Korea
Status
The country is now open to some visitors with restrictions.
Conditions
Incoming passengers are subject to quarantine and testing.
The Maldives
Status
The exotic Indian Ocean islands will open up borders for international tourism on July 1st, 2020 with several conditions.
Conditions
All visitors must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test and evidence of accommodation for at least 14 nights. Additionally, they will also be tested on arrival.

Pakistan
Status
Pakistan opened its borders for international visitors on June 20th, 2020.
Sri Lanka
Status
The island announced that it will reopen for tourism on August 1st, 2020.
Thailand
Status
The exotic country plans to reopen its borders for international tourism on July 1st, 2020.

Turkey
Status
Turkey opened for tourism on June 12th, 2020.
Conditions
All incoming visitors are subject to medical screening.
United Arab Emirates
Status
Currently, there is only news about Dubai opening up to tourists. The emirate announced that it will open up for international visitors starting the 7th of July, 2020.
Conditions
There is a number of requirements for entry to Dubai, starting with having valid health insurance. Prior to arrival, all visitors must download the DXB app and register as well as complete a health registration form. Next, upon arrival, tourists must present a negative PCR test result that they took 96 hours prior to arrival. On the contrary, they are subject to a PCR test at the airport. Moreover, medical screening will also take place for all tourists upon arrival. As a consequence, in case anyone is suspect of having COVID-19, they will be required to quarantine for 14 days at their own expense ar a state facility.
Vietnam
Status
The country plans to open up borders for international tourism on July 1st, 2020. However, only visitors from countries with no new cases in the past 30 days can travel to Vietnam.

As you may find, not too many countries in Asia are planning to re-open their borders for international tourism. However, you can still consider the ones that are open or expand your search to other continents.
